About the Company:

Position Overview:
The Air & Sea Business Development Manager will play a critical role in expanding the company’s footprint in Germany by developing new business opportunities and managing client relationships on a national scale. This fully remote role requires an experienced and driven sales professional who can proactively identify potential clients, close deals, and manage accounts across Germany. The successful candidate will report to the Sales Director and work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the air and sea freight sectors, targeting medium to large accounts across Germany.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, focusing on maximizing client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new service opportunities.
- Solution Selling: Present customized logistics solutions to prospective clients, addressing their unique needs and demonstrating the value of the company’s services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ongoing service excellence.
- Targets & KPIs: Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within freight forwarding, with a strong focus on air and sea freight solutions. Experience with national or multi-regional accounts is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the air and sea freight industry, including an understanding of market trends, pricing structures, and service requirements.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record in business development and account management, with strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Communication: Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Remote Work: Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Travel: Willingness to travel across Germany as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in Germany with occasional travel to meet clients.
