Job Title: Airfreight Specialist
Location: Stuttgart, Germany
Salary: €55,000 - €70,000
Overview:
We are working with a mid-sized freight forwarder looking to expand their team in Stuttgart with an experienced Airfreight Specialist. This role will focus primarily on export operations (80%) with a smaller portion of import (20%), handling the full process from start to finish for airfreight shipments. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in airfreight export and import processes, customer management, and key account handling. Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate airfreight export shipments (80%) and import shipments (20%) from initiation through to completion.
- Oversee the full operational process, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, tracking, and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, proactively addressing any client needs or issues.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Continuously monitor shipment progress, providing clients with updates and managing any arising issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, documentation, and communications.
Requirements:
- Experience in airfreight forwarding, with a strong understanding of export and import operations.
- Proven ability to handle the full process of airfreight shipments.
- Strong customer management and communication skills, with experience in managing key accounts.
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and MS Office applications.
