Altius Talent have partnered with a global supply chain organisation situated in the North Rhine Westphalia region searching for an experienced Sales Director to spearhead their continual growth across Europe.

Main Purpose of Role
The Sales Director is accountable for delivering revenue growth from target European customers by developing and executing a strategy that enables the organization to exceed growth targets for the region.

The role holder will act as the primary representative for the organization in Europe, recruiting and developing a successful team, identifying key target accounts, creating effective account plans, and contributing to a marketing strategy that elevates the organization’s presence and impact in the region.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities
  • Develop a go-to-market strategy for European operations, aligned with annual objectives and growth targets.
  • Define the target account list for the sales team to focus on, ensuring it aligns with annual objectives and has sufficient depth to meet targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key customers, fostering trust and ensuring revenue protection.
  • Develop innovative solutions for customers that support the current product and service portfolio, while contributing to new product development and enhanced customer relationships.
  • Support central marketing efforts by creating and implementing high-ROI local marketing strategies.
  • Represent the organization as a key stakeholder in Europe by attending and speaking at networking and lead-generation events.
  • Identify local initiatives to strengthen the sales pipeline and exceed requirements necessary to achieve annual targets.
  • Identify key influencers and decision-makers within target accounts and develop action plans to deepen relationships, leveraging senior-level support where needed.
  • Align commercial strategies to support the delivery of business objectives across all specified key accounts.
  • Develop business plans for current and tender opportunities to secure new business.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of customers’ needs and requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data to ensure consistent reporting, and deliver progress and forecast reports using key account metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of new and enhanced customer propositions.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their objectives and maximize retention.
  • Manage the sales team to deliver predictable and consistent revenue growth aligned with annual targets.

Salary & Package:
  • €130,000 Base Salary
  • €6,600 Car Allowance
  • Sales Commission scheme - the scheme is an individual commission scheme based on sales contracts won in each scheme period and the commission payments are based on invoiced turnover within the contract qualifying period and is an uncapped commission scheme
