Key Responsibilities
Branch Setup & Leadership:
- Lead the establishment of a new office in Stuttgart, including site selection, infrastructure setup, and team recruitment.
- Create a branch strategy aligned with corporate goals to ensure successful market entry and long-term growth.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to company values.
- Oversee the end-to-end management of OOG, heavy lift, and project cargo operations.
- Develop tailored logistics solutions for complex projects, ensuring seamless execution from origin to destination.
- Coordinate with global offices, subcontractors, and carriers to manage multimodal transport requirements.
- Identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the Stuttgart and surrounding regions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers in the project logistics sector.
- Represent the company at industry events and foster the company’s reputation as a leader in project forwarding.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
- Resolve operational challenges proactively and maintain strong client relationships.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client requirements to deliver value-driven solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities in the project logistics sector.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement strategies for long-term success.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability, meeting or exceeding branch KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and international regulations, including safety and customs requirements.
- Manage the branch’s P&L, budget, and financial performance to achieve profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
- Proven Expertise: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project logistics, with a strong focus on OOG cargo, heavy lift, and multimodal transportation.
- Leadership Background: Demonstrated success in managing teams, operations, and P&L in the freight forwarding or logistics sector.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of project freight forwarding, including operational and technical aspects.
- Market Insight: Familiarity with the Stuttgart logistics landscape and a strong network within the industry.
- Language Skills: Fluency in German and English (both spoken and written) is essential.
