Our client, a mid-sized freight forwarder with a strong presence in Germany, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Air & Sea Business Development Manager to join their team. This role will focus on expanding the company's customer base and driving sales growth in the Nuremberg region and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Proactively identify and acquire new business opportunities for air and sea freight services.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify opportunities and optimize sales efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Proven track record in freight forwarding sales, specifically in air and sea freight solutions.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, including trade lanes, pricing, and market dynamics.
- Fluent in German (mandatory) and a good command of English.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with the Nuremberg market and surrounding regions is a plus.
